In today’s economic slump a girl could use all the help she can get when it comes to saving money. But just because you’re on budget ladies doesn’t mean you can’t go out and have some fun!!

Here are a few tips on getting yourself and maybe even some of your girlfriends free drinks for the night.

DON’T BE AFRAID TO DRESS UP…

When going out we always want to look our best, but when you go out with little or no money in your pocket you need to go above and beyond. Make sure to pick out an outfit that flatters your figure and don’t skimp out on doing your hair. Accentuate your best assets and use them to your advantage.

NO BOYS ALLOWED…

This is very important! You cannot bring guys with you to the bar/club if you plan on getting free drinks. Whether they are just your guy friends or another friends’ boyfriend, they are NOT allowed to come along. No guy will buy you a drink if you are surrounded by other guys.

BE APPROACHABLE…

Don’t go out with twenty of your closest girlfriends. Too many girls will scare most guys away. Four girls is the max and even that is pushing it. You and one friend is ideal for getting free drinks. Plus it’s more likely that a guy will buy you and your friend a drink if there is only one friend to buy for. Also make sure you have a friendly face and demeanor.

LOOK FOR THE DRUNK GUY…

You can usually tell when a guy has already had a few drinks so don’t be afraid to use that to your advantage. A guy who has been drinking usually has built up some liquid courage and he is more likely to approach you. It will also be easier to persuade him to buy you more then a few drinks with minimal conversation on your part. Just make sure he keeps drinking as well!

ACT DRUNK…

There is no shame in putting your acting skills to some use. If you act just a little more drunk then you actually are there is a very good chance you will get more drinks. Yes its sleazy of a guy to try and take advantage of the fact that a girl is already drunk so why not turn the tables and use it to your advantage!

DON’T BE STUCK UP!...

Ok girls times are tough and I know being approached by less then amazing looking guys is awful but if you want a free drink you may have to suck it up! Do not refuse a drink from anyone. If it’s offered to you then take it! It doesn’t mean you have to give the guy your number or even sit there and talk to him. Just thank him politely and excuse yourself. You’ll be fine!

The Cantina Lounge in Fullerton right off of state college has 2 dollar tequila shots and margaritas EVERY tuesday!! Who wouldn't want to check this place out!? They've got a Dj and a dance floor as well. So for all you hardcore party people who can handle a beginning of the week late night check out Cantina Lounge in Fullerton!!

Whats up guys and dolls! The weekend is almost here and i am gearing up to party! I might out in the down town Fullerton or uptown Whittier scene this weekend so hopefully i'll see all you guys out and about having a good time. But for all you party people who are starting their weekend early, my friend recently told me about a little bar in uptown Whittier called 6740. Apparently its a great neighborhood spot to chill and have a beer and some wings. Happy hour brings cheap appetizers and drinks. I've heard that both the fries and the wings are awesome! Good music, a little loud for the older folks but sounds like a great place to catch a game on tv or just have some drinks after work. I'll probably be hitting this place up soon so that I can give you guys a little more info. But if your in the area check it out and let me know what you think. Alright kids have fun out there, be responsible, and don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Hey party people! sorry I haven't been posting but life does happen and school has kept me from going out and doing "research" for my blog! But this weekend after midterms I plan to make time and get back into the mix with all you night owls out there. I heard that Florentines in downtown Fullerton was poppin off tonight, so i know its late but if you head out now you might be able to make last call. Its located right next to Tuscany and they do charge a cover of 5 dollars but I think after 12 its free. They have some great drink specials and a pretty good dj on the weekends. The dance floor is a little small but have a few drinks and you won't care who your bumpin in to! College crowd, pretty friendly bar staff and cheap drinks, sounds like fun to me! So get out there and bump into some people folks! As always be safe and responsible. Remember...Don't do anything I wouldn't do kids!

Tina's Tavern

Hey party people! Its wednesday night and there is a perfect little spot to check out in West Covina. Its called Tina's Tavern and its right off the ten on Glendora ave behind the Edwards movie theatre. It might be what some would call a dive bar. Its a small bar with two pool tables, darts, and plenty of games to entertain the drunkest of patrons. The beers there are reasonably priced as well the mixed drinks for the ladies. You are allowed to smoke inside even though state laws say no smoking! Awesome right!! No cover charge and come as you are. My favorite because I hate dressing up! On saturday nights they have a DJ that plays a range of today and classics. Its a really good place to relax without the pressures of uppity club people and overpriced drinks. Hey there boys and girls! Its tuesday and I have a tip for all you thirsty people out there. The Chatterbox in Covina is a small bar, some might even call it a dive bar but it has a very friendly bar staff and recession conscious drinks! There is a pool table, a juke box which plays mostly rock music, and really comfortable couches along the far wall to sit and lounge. Don't let the exterior of the bar fool you, the people inside are laid back and very chill. Its come as you are with no cover charge at the door and a great place to go and have after work or school drinks with a couple of friends. So come down play some pool have a few drinks and unwind. They have beers on tap and in the bottle as well as well drinks and the fruity drinks girls love. It caters to a variety of people and age ranges. So go out tonight at have a few drinks for me! Good Evening boys and girls! Its wednesday night and i know of a perfect place to spend out on the town! Howl at the Moon piano bar along the universal citywalk is a great place to take a date or go out for after work drink with friends. This is a dueling piano bar and for those of you who don't know what dueling pianos is, its when two piano players are up on stage and they play different renditions of all kinds of songs. They also have live music and what they call bucket drinks! Its an actual bucket filled with an alcoholic beverage, very good to share. On the weekends the crowd gets rowdy and they have shot girls who go around and give you jello shots. They have an indoor and outdoor sitting area. The outdoor area is shared with the other bar right next door so plenty of chances to mingle. Its right on the citywalk on the second floor with plenty of other bars to hop too! So make a trip down to Universal with a group of friends or your significant other, there is a movie theatre and great places to eat. As always be careful kids and don't do anything I wouldn't do!

Hey guys and dolls! tonight my post is gonna be a little different. I'm gonna talk about nocturnal! For all you non ravers out there nocturnal is a rave and raves are all night parties. Usually beginning at 5pm and ending at 5am. The music is largely techno, house and trance. Nocturnal was a massive. Which means it was a huge venue with a lot of people! 5 different rooms with all different music. Most people dress up and go all out when gearing up for a rave. Glow sticks, light necklaces and bracelets, glow in the dark body paint you name it people are wearing it. I know a lot of people shy away from the rave scene but honestly, don't knock it till you try it! The night was filled with good vibes and good company. People from all walks of life attend raves and there is huge potential to make new friends. This year Nocturnal was held at the NOS event center in San Bernardino and a whole lot of people showed up. Not only were there dance rooms but food places, drink places, and even a special place called beer gardens! The whole event center was done up in an alice and wonderland theme with the mad hatter, talking flowers and fire eaters walking around the whole park. So if your not to shy and love meeting new people while attending a massive party where you can dance the night away raving is for you! The next big massive is on Halloween night at the LA Coliseum its called monster massive where you wear your favorite costume and party till the sun comes up! I'll have an update soon with a link where you can get more information. As always be careful while your out there and don't do anything I wouldn't do kids!

Little update. I just found out the crazy horse is only free on sundays till 10pm! Such a rip off! The music really isn't even all that great and the people there aren't much better! Here's a photo so you can see what your NOT missing out on!

whats up party people! I recently went to a club this weekend in west covina called the Crazy Horse. Its a huge night club with three floors and three bar areas. It gets packed every friday and saturday, with almost no parking, long lines and an entry fee of twenty dollars except on sunday. You must dress to impress and make sure to bring lots of extra cash because the drink prices are ridiculous! I got an overall bad vibe from the club and really wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Its an 18 and over club on certain nights and the bar staff is not friendly or efficient. Its not the layed back feel i prefer but if you like expensive drinks, douchey guys this is the place for you! Dance the night away and get as drunk as you can to enjoy being out at this place with some sweaty stranger rubbing up against you. Alright have a good one and don't do anything I wouldn't do kids!

Hey guys and girls! Its the weekend and I know many of you are looking for something fun to do! I know karaoke doesn't sound like the best thing in the world but once the alcohol is flowing i'll bet you change your mind. Tuscany in downtown Fullerton has karaoke every weekend Tuscany has a full bar and a ten dollar cover charge after 9:30pm. But don't let that scare you away, the bar staff makes the best drinks at a very good price. So check it out with some friends and sing like your Kelly Clarkson on American Idol! If you don't like the college scene you could always make your way over to Don Jose's in Claremont. My friends took me here one night and I ended up having a very good night! At first glance you might want to walk out but after 4 or 5 drinks the place kind of grows on you. Its a mexican restaurant by day and a karaoke bar by night. The crowd is mixed with both old and young going up on stage to belt out there favorite tunes. The drinks are amazingly cheap and made very strong. So it will only take a couple to get you on stage singing Cindy Lauper's "Girls just want to have fun". Either way karaoke is a great way to end a stressful week whether your up there singing your heart out or laughing hysterically at your friends on stage. So have a great weekend kids and remember...Don't do anything i wouldn't do!

Whats up guys and girls, its Tuesday and we all know you need a little pick me up to get you through the rest of the week. If your looking for some live music and good drinks make your way over to the First Cabin in Arcadia. Its right off the 210, I know its a little bit of a drive but it is well worth it. This bar is exactly like its name explains, it has a cabin theme and is about as big as one too! During the weekends it gets pretty crowded but it only adds to the great atmosphere of loud music and thickly packed crowds. There is a mixed age group that frequents this place with both young and old heading out to the tiny dance floor to get down. This is one of the few bars that uphold the old tradition of letting people light up and enjoy a good smoke. So smoke it up and drink it down at the First Cabin tonight! No cover charge and come as you are. On the weekends don't miss Pat O'Brien and the Priests of Love. They have an endless list of covers from classics to contemporary and will dazzle your ears with the best live music you've heard in years! Alright as always be responsible, don't take drinks from strangers (unless they're super hott!) and have a great night out on the town!! Don't do anything i wouldn't do kids!

Its from 11am to 3pm and they have delicious bbq and build your own burritos,omelets and bloody marys to take that weekend hangover away. The Slidebar in Fullerton will definitely be in full swing tonight so I suggest you get there early and avoid the line. Full bar and rock music to sing along to all night long. This rock themed bar is known for its battle of the bands nights and celebrity sitings. Everyone from Linkin Park to Kat Von D has knocked back a few here. They have both indoor and outdoor bar areas for your drinking enjoyment, come as you are and have a cold one with friends. This is one of my favorite bars and it never disappoints, whether your there with one friend or ten your guaranteed a good time! As always be responsible and throw back a shot for me! Alright guys and girls its about that time again. I have another hot spot to let you in on. We're highlighting downtown Fullerton this week so thats where this next bar is located. Brannigans is a pub scene modeled after those rowdy irish pubs in Ireland. Its a small bar with loud music and an awesome crowd. And when I say small i mean small! But thats why the crowd is so great, everyone is so close together that after a few drinks and some good conversation you can't help to have a night full of merriment with perfect strangers. Guiness is the favorite around this spot and the later it gets the louder the atmosphere. Thursday nights is college night and Brannigans is always packed to capacity. With happy hour and food specials this place is pub heaven. So go out there and grab yourself a pint and a drinking buddy and have a night you won't forget or wished you remembered. The First One Ever!!

Getting tired of your run of the mill drinking hole? Have no fear Vannesa is here! I'll be your neighborhood guide to bars, clubs, and just generally running a muck around town. First bar on the list is Heroes, located in a back alley of downtown Fullerton it is the center for social carousing. Straight out of a scene from Good Will Hunting this bar has a Boston theme and is packed full of college students. Thursday and saturday nights are the busiest with a full beer and liquor bar. Beer is the specialty and with over 50 types of booze on tap to get you stumbling down the sidewalk your sure to have a good time. Eleven dollars for a huge mug thats like three beers in one. Its busy, its loud, its rowdy. Just the type of entertainment for a college student out with friends. If your into low key and wine sipping this is not the place for you. As if their plethora of beer and liquor was not enough free bags peanuts are available all night, so feel free to grab some nuts and have a good time. Alright guys and gals have a hell of time and as always be responsible and don't act a fool while out in the club! (and bars). Don't do anything I wouldn't do kids!
